Hey guys, thank you all for your gracious birthday gifts and wishes. It really means a lot to me. It made my day!
I'd like to tell you guys the reason why I joined DA.
It might be strange to hear, but for many years I haven't drawn much at all. I used to draw a lot when I was a kid and teenager, but I lost the motivation sometime in highschool. I had gotten bored with what I was drawing at the time, and I couldn't seem to find anything that I wanted to draw anymore. It was very strange leaving drawing behind, as I always kinda considered it part of my identity. Although somehow, I knew that I would return to drawing one day.
Five months ago I got badly injured by a broken window. My right arm was sliced wide open and I needed immediate medical attention. At the hospital, before they sutured my arm up, they kept asking me to move my hand and fingers around. They were very relieved to see that I retained all the motor functions in my hand. (I was too) They told me that the cut was extremely close to the nerve bundle that controls the entire hand. Had that nerve bundle have been cut, I would never have had the same level of control in that hand ever again. I was very shocked to hear that, and the first thought that came to my mind was, "I almost lost the ability to draw". I suddenly felt a renewed sense of motivation to draw.
I wasn't sure what to draw at first, but after remembering the great FMG art here on DA, I knew that that was the direction I wanted to go in. Oddly enough, it hadn't really occurred to me before to draw my fetish. If some of my drawings appear a bit wonky and flat, it's because I'm still getting used to drawing muscle girls. Every muscle girl I've ever drawn is right here on DA .
Getting to know this community of great artists and great people has truly been a pleasure. Thank you all for your graciousness, and your acceptance of a mere amateur pencil artist like me
